Minutes of IC RICH1 HPD column meeting

Present: Dave Clarke, Richard Plackett, Gabriel Vidal and Dave Websdale
Column Dressing
RP reports 4 columns complete and tested
2 further columns waiting for HPDs that should arrive this week from Scotland
RP will be handing the coordination of the column dressing over to Ulrich Kerzel (Cambridge) at the end of the week (3rd March)
There will be more voltage type (probably type 1) columns, need to check if spare available
26 anodised end pieces arrived with Bill, need to send 6 more back for anodising.
HPD Box
DC reports that the lack of drawings mean that there is only work for another 2 days in the workshop. Need to contact TS who is unavoidably away.
DW recommends DC orders material for lower HPD box as it will be very substantially the same as the upper box and can be cut to length whilst drawings are finalised.
A new design engineer form oxford will replace Rohan for the design of the lower HPD box.
Rail System
Drawings of the rail system received from Rohan.
Some problems noticed (inconsistent dimensions etc) that would have stalled manufacture these have been pointed out to Rohan.
We should now be able to proceed with manufacture.
GE door support pieces
DC will begin manufacture of door supports as he does not require drawings for them.
