MINUTES OF RICH1 HPD & MECHANICS MEETING

Upper HPD chariot

The long spars are now completed.
The short spars are now completed.
The long plinth pieces are underway.
Drawings are needed for the Roller Blocks and the Photon Funnel Catchment.
Material to make the hood frame needs to be orderd.
Rohan has specified rough design of the chariot wheels, but work stil to do on attatching them.
This is becoming time critical as we want to ship the chariot with the upper rails to test in approximatly two weeks time. Lifting Lugs also have to be organised.

Spherical Mirrors

The Spherical mirror clamps will be manufactured this week.
The replacement Spherical mirror rail will be manufactured today.
BC will bring these parts to CERN at the end of the week.

Column Dressing

The 13th RICH1 column has been sucessfully tested in the SSB.
The first cooling plate has been mounted with only one pt100 sensor failing.
RP will focuss on firming design of fibre spools

Monitoring systems

There is the posibility of installing temperature monitoring in the HPD gas volumne as well as the gas enclosure. This needs to be rememberd for the patch panel.
The LAMS parts have been orderd and will be posted to BC at Imperial imminently.
