Magnetic Shield Status
=========================
Marcello will visit the manufacturer next week (and again prior to shipping.) The shielding box should be delivered by the 3rd week of April. Progress so far is good. The drawings have been added to EDMS. On the question of the mounting beams: supports have been ordered with a Finnish company, 1 order missing for the rails (for transport from concrete block) which should be placed today (or yesterday); Marcello will check. Anticipated everything should be here by the end of April. At next week's infrastructure meeting there should be a discussion of the installation; safety checks will have to be performed a few days prior the commencement of installation. No results from tests on welded pieces yet, problems with winding process, but now ready to make measurements early next week.
ACTION: Marcello to provide delivery dates for all items including rails by next meeting

Gas Enclosure
================
Another firm have requested to be part of the tender procedure. The tender is with RAL procurement office who are expecting the drawing by Tuesday. Meeting with Rohan this week on the tender drawings he expects to finish the drawings Monday evening. There is no problem for getting approval of the head of PPD at RAL for the tender procedure. Trevor believes the tender drawings include all major needs ie all machining requirements for manufacture. It includes modifications for mounting position of spherical mirros, needs & provisionn installation for flat mirrors & aerogel and also lifting points and fixing points for help with the installation of the quartz windows & seal to the VELO. All blanking plates for gas testing have been added to tender.

VELO & Exit Windows
========================
Seal to VELO clamping ring inside RICH1 will now be recessed (included in tender drawing). This allows aerogel installation to be further upstream allowing direct installation of the aerogel. Mike has sent drawings to VELO seal manufacturers hope to get a quote by next week. Need to choose suitable manufacturer fir exit diaphragm; may do it in-house at RAL by pressing. Need an estimate of when drawing can go into EDMS. Mike & Trevor now agree agree on the z-position. Werner recommended a dedicated discussion of the mounting issue for the exit window should include beampipe experts.
ACTION: Mike will put VELO seal drawing in EDMS

Mirrors
==========
The Be prototype now expected in May; mirror currently in St Petersburg. Vladimir informs Carmelo that Vavilov now covering mirror with glass sheet collage (nearly finished). Melting procedure now yet started. Kompozit are also unhappy with delay and are pushing Vavilov. Need to look at latest blank contract as delivery date may say 15th April - may need updating. Offer for the BE blank is $18k - finance people worried this is part of main contract. It was suggested to buy as a spare blank and therefore not part of main contract. Its hope to close the deal next week and order with Kompozit. Will need to pay in advance, as before, in order to buy blank. Need to sort out staging of payment & Kompozit acceptance of blank in detail. There's no news from ISTC, it needs to be chased from the Russian side and Andrei & Vladimir in CERN this week. First draft of contract has been circulated - comments to Carmelo within 2 weeks; the working assumption is that we go with ISTC. Preliminary version can be circulated to the CERN legal department for early comment. Need to work out a plan for switching to plan B if we have to switch away from Be mirrors (including Milano homegrown & CMA mirrors) Vladimir inquiring if Vavilov can provide coating for glass for backup if CERN pulls out. Fabio has sent drawing of inner mirror to Vladimir K. for comment
Flat mirror drawing placed in EDMS, Dave worried about vertical dimension. Beginning of May substrates could be ordered.

Mirror Supports
===============
Geoff's preliminary look suggest everything will fit in - there was some concern over the mounting mechanism. By the end of April Geoff's T2K work should be cleared. Need to see how things knock on to the overall schedule.

Need to examine overall schedule & understand critical paths for all modules, including photodetector mountings. A meeting in early May to discuss them. Discussion of aerogel should be included in the RICH1 meetings (at least some of them.) Should ensure someone from Milano is invited.
