From poeschl@lal.in2p3.fr Wed Dec 10 09:49:28 2008 Date: Wed, 10 Dec 2008 10:49:26 +0100 From: Roman Poeschl To: Nigel.Watson@cern.ch, Paul Dauncey Cc: GAO Yuanning Subject: Calorimeter School in Beijing - Lecture on MAPS Dear Nigel and Paul, together with Yuanning Gao from the Tsiunghua University we are organizing a School on Calorimetry for the Linear Collider. The purpose has to be considered as one of the many small steps needed to raise and foster the chinese engagement in the Linear Collider efforts, in particular on the detector side. The school is addressed to Asian, primarily chinese graduate students. We would like to incorporate a lecture on the MAPS proposal into this school. Would one of you be ready to give such a lecture or can you propose somebody who could give such a lecture. We foresee three hours for the lecture but more can be attributed if needed. The school is going to happen between the 22/4/08 and 27/4/08 i.e. directly after the ACFA workshop at KEK which should help to reduce travel expenses. Thanks for your efforts in advance. Cheers, Roman
