We have felt that this has generally been a very useful way of starting communications between IPPP and the experiments. While we will always strive to do better, in many cases there have been collaborations in organising meetings, in others we have been able to make contributions to specific analyses. I am therefore writing to you to ask you to nominate a new contact person for CALICE for the next three years. It is not an onerous task, and we are really looking for people who will be interested in interacting with the IPPP by being a point of contact between the experiment and the IPPP. This may be by suggesting topics for useful workshops, coming and giving a seminar at the IPPP, perhaps alerting us to experimental visitors to the UK or even just knowing who to ask about various physics topics. It's not a prescriptive role, and leaves room for initiative on both sides. Many thanks, Nigel
