Nonlinear inversion for inverse problems in PAT and X-ray CT

In many tomographic applications the acquisition of a complete set of data can be impractical or even not possible e.g. the underlying dynamics causes the object to evolve faster than measurements can be acquired or there is a concern about the delivered dose which restricts the exposure. Effectively, we end up with subsampled or limited data problems which require nonlinear inversion techniques rooted in image analysis. In this talk we discuss some of such techniques with applications in photoacoustic tomography (PAT) and X-ray CT for static and dynamic problems.
