W boson production at the LHC exhibits features that are not present at proton-antiproton colliders. These features, namely charge asymmetry of W+ vs W- production, and large transverse polarisation at high PT(W), are discussed. Potential physics applications are presented, along with a plan to measure W boson polarisation at the LHC. Preliminary results from the LHC data are also shown.
