New Physics Scenarios for Flavour Anomalies

Martin Bauer
(Heidelberg)

Many explanations for the anomalies measured in rare B decays have been discussed in the literature, including Leptoquarks, new gauge bosons and loop-induced effects. I will give an introduction into the different observed anomalies and comment on their statistical significance, theoretical and experimental error sources and prospects for future measurements. This will be followed by an accessible overview over New Physics models aiming to explain these anomalies and a discussion of ways to distinguish between them.
