Spin physics with a fixed-target experiment @LHC

Abstract: Thanks to its multi-TeV proton and leab beams, the LHC complex offers to possibility to perform the most energetic fixed-target experiments ever and to study high-precision p-p, p-d and p-A collisions at √sNN=115 GeV and Pb-p and Pb-A collisions at √sNN=72 GeV. We present a selection of feasibility studies for spin physics, using LHCb and ALICE detectors in a fixed-target mode.
