PUEO and ultra high-energy neutrino astronomy

Abstract: In this talk, I will present the Ultra High-Energy (UHE) neutrinos and their connection to multi-messenger astronomy. I will explain the main theories of the origin and formation of UHE neutrinos and cosmic rays and introduce some of the most relevant experiments. The main techniques to measure UHE neutrinos and cosmic rays in ice will be covered, with a strong focus on the Antarctic Transient Impulsive Antenna (ANITA) experiment. After going through the results from the four flights of ANITA, I will introduce the plans for the new generation of ANITA, the Payload for Ultrahigh Energy Observations (PUEO).
