Advancing CP Violation measurements: new approaches from the CMS experiment
Abstract: The study of CP violation plays a critical role in understanding the cosmic puzzle of matter-antimatter asymmetry. This seminar presents the latest CMS results on the Bs->J/psiPhi decay, the golden channel for CP violation measurements at the LHC. The analysis explores CP violation within the decay and flavor mixing interference through a time- and flavor-dependent angular analysis. An innovative flavor tagging approach is employed, utilizing advanced machine learning techniques to enhance accuracy by incorporating all available event information, achieving a 500% improvement over previous CMS results. This work provides the first evidence of CP violation in Bs->J/psiPhi decays, marking a major milestone for future CMS measurements.
