Subject: Tonight

If you get this before tonight, ie the colours dinner, can you please
give me a ring to let me know what's going on? I have now been awake
for 33 hours and I am a nervous wreck but it should help to get me
pissed even more easily than usual tonight. See you later, love, Julia

Veronique didn't get in. We were all gutted, that horrible Rachel
girl got voted in, we can't work it out because we're sure we all
voted for Veronique. The present committee must have swung the vote.
Bastards. Hakan (or however you spell his name) didn't get men's
captain either, Chris, 1st 8, did. Caroline didn't get president,
neither did Jamie. Matt and some other senior bloke got it joint. I
got treasurer though, I made an excellent speech, no one was running
against me so I was definitely going to get it. I just said that and
that what I was going to do was look after the money and vote for me
and I got it. It's very scary. So it should be club colours for me
next year, how exciting!
I miss you babe, how are you getting on, is it strange to be back
home and speaking german all the time? Have you found out whether or
not you'll be able to row at uni? Are you going on your neighbours
ergo every morning? Anyway, I'll be in touch again soon, take care of
yourself, love Julia

Hi, I'm so sorry I have'nt written to you yet, I am very
stressed as you had guessed with my exams. I haven't
really been rowing yet this term, I went once but didn't
get back in time to row in the hammersmith regatta but I
think they did quite well anyway.
Barbara was stroke, and caroline, katie and veronique
were rowing as well. Caroline says that barbara was a
really good stroke and I hope she doesn't want to steal
my place, because I like it too much. THis is really just
short to say hello, I'll write again soon when I'm a bit
less stressed about my exams and my lovely roommate!!!
Look after yourself, I miss you! Love, Julia :)
