Rules for the UK Bubble Chamber Football Tournament General * No studded boots may be worn; astroboots, trainers or plimsoles only. * Teams will nominally contain 5 players. However, if both sides agree, the game can be 6-a-side. * When squads of 5 play squads of six, one substitution per game is allowed - to give everyone a game. Further blood substitutes are allowed for injuries. * Transfer between squads is only allowed as a result of injury. * Rules as Association Football except o Back-passes to goal-keepers are allowed. o There is no offside. o Only the goalkeeper is allowed in the D. A defender entering concedes a penalty, one yard back from the edge of the D. o An attacker entering the circle concedes a free kick from inside the area, to be taken by the goal-keeper. o Goal-keepers get rid of the ball (goal-kicks and after a save or pass back) by rolling it underarm (it should reach the ground within 2 yards); in addition, except for goal-kicks, they may place it on the ground and kick it. o Throw-ins must be rolled underarm, the ball reaching the ground within 2 yards. o At free-kicks, the opposition must drop back 3 yards (except near the goal area where the attacking side may choose to drop back). Ladies vs Gentlemen Games * No (excessive) bodily contact. * Men may run (jog-canter!) when moving forward in attack. * Men can score with any part of their bodies other than the front and sides of their feet. * Men can only touch the ball twice without another player touches it more than twice, a free kick is awarded to the Ladies.
