1.         Introduction

2.         Programme of the RAL meeting

Current status of agenda posted on the RAL meeting WWW page. Points noted below where changes to the present schedule were noted or suggested:

●      Theory: Talks listed were as expected.

●     Phenomenology: OY noted that Volpe had declined and that Geer’s talk should be scheduled as 20 minutes.

●      Muon Physics: Order of talks should be: Robers, Overview, then the two Jungmann talks. No theory talk.

●      Det/Acc: KL reported some email/phone conversations on the joint sessions. Goal was to have a discussion session on reducing systematic errors to the required value. Topics and proposed speakers:

–   Flux: composition, energy spectrum:         J.E. Campagne (or US speaker)

–   Energy resolution/threshold:                       P. Strolin (registered)

–   Matter effect:                                               M. Warner (invited but not registered)

–   Polarisation:                                                A. Blondel

     (focus on systematic error contribution if not known or poorly known)

–   Background estimation:                              A. Cervera

        The first talk would naturally sit in either the Physics/Accel parallel (just before coffee), or the 'Plenary' parallel. We favoured the Physics/Accelerator to keep the talks close together.

        LR agreed to liaise with K. Jungmann on a contribution to the Acc/Phys joint session on ‘Beams for muon physics’.

●      Experimental: Talks as on WWW.

YN commented that he proposed to make the introductory presentation himself, all welcomed this. YN proposed Mauro Mezzetto give the summary talk and asked KL to contact MM to see if he could make this presentation.

Action: 2.1: KL: Contact MM to ask if he can make summary presentation.

3.         To do at RAL

Need to make contents list and assign lead authors.

4. Items in the final report

SK has prepared contents and preliminary lead authors. KL has now tex file with S. Choubey’s contribution and SK’s contribution. YN asked all conveners to make a contents list before the Physics Group discussion session on Monday 24Apr06. If this could reach KL by Friday this week, it could be included in the tex file.

5.         Physics w/s in Valencia in June

YN had email from PH that she could organise a w/s in Valencia in middle to late June.

6. Any other items

Summary of second w/s: SK and OY had provided text. KL and LR had not. KL and LR to complete text before the RAL meeting.
