MM commented that the RAL
meeting had a rich physics programme but that it didn’t focus on the
performance that can be obtained with the various facilities. MM’s opinion is that to finalise the performance requires
input from the Detector Group. Background processes below the 5 GeV level
in magnetic detectors is uncertain and it will be necessary to extrapolate
based on reasonable assumptions. Important to discuss at
Valencia Workshop.
Table of contents, names of writers,
time schedule.
Present status of the
report was discussed. PH requested that an index be added and that the level of
detail required be indicat3ed. LR requested a muon-physics section be added. SK
and LR would coordinate on overlap of theory between the theory sections of the
report and the theoretical introduction to the muon section. Performance
section needs to be discussed among those working in this area. KL to organise series of phone calls. It was agreed that all
could begin to ask contributors to begin to prepare. Goal was to have some
sections drafted by
Action 3.1: KL: arrange performance phone calls.
Action 3.2: Conveners: Contact authors to ask for contributions to text.
Action 3.2: All: Comment on table of contents by 19May06.
Agreed that workshop
would be 3rd to 6th July in
Next meeting to be arranged on 30May06, 14h00 GMT.
