1 km Reactor Neutrino Experiments

• electron antineutrinos at about 4 MeV energy, 1km distance travelled

• same L/E as atmospheric neutrinos

• can probe µ13

• Chooz and Palo Verde experiments from the late 1990s

• did not see any antineutrino deficit ⇒ limit on µ13

• sin2 2µ13 < 0.15 (90% CL) (including MINOS data)
