• Provide areas that need most DAQ design & construction expertise

• core hardware design and online software

• Keeps costs down by requiring other groups to pay for hardware

• Focus on meeting ECAL needs (full vertical slice)

• Adaptability is key

• many aspects of experiment undergoing final design
• number of channels / front-end configurations not fixed yet

• PDRA-UCL1 (supported by UCL) is Phill Litchfield (from MINOS / T2K)
