Beam Extinction

• Inter-bunch beam extinction critical to suppress prompt backgrounds

• relative extinction factor of 3× 10{11 required
• measurements with existing 30 GeV synchrotron indicate that this is achievable
• must be verified for 8 GeV slow extraction
