IDS-NF FFAG Meeting, Daresbury Laboratory, 19 May 2009

In addition to the presentations here, we heard updates from S. Machida regarding chromaticity correction in FFAGs and J. S. Berg on the overall lattice design. We also discussed possible options for magnets. We did hear (from someone--I'm blanking out on who) that a combined function coil shape offered no advantage over separated dipole and quadrupole coils, and that one could use a helical winding design to eliminate geometric multipoles on the magnet ends. Ogitsu at KEK had looked at some combined-function coil windings for scaling FFAGs; Shinji said he would contact him for more information.
